Ad Venture finalist campaigns showcased at the Green Week

The European Commission organized between 23 & 26 June the 2009 edition of the “Green Week”, Europe’s biggest annual conference on Environment policy. The theme of the conference was “climate change: act and adapt”.
This year more than 3.500 participants from EU institutions, business and industry, non-governmental organisations, public authorities, the scientific community and academia attended the conferences and exhibitions.

Besides sessions and workshops, the Green week 2009 also featured the traditional green Week exhibition with 60 stands about LIFE projects, green business solutions, NGO activities, local and regional authorities, European and international bodies, etc.

The European Association of Communications Agencies (EACA) had a stand to present the Ad Venture student competition project as the 2009 brief aimed to get European consumers to consider environmental performance as a key factor in car selection and purchase alongside traditional purchase such as price, size, reliability, safety, comfort and performance. The EACA showcased the campaigns of the three finalist teams and distributed the brochure created in collaboration with the European Association of Cars Manufacturers (ACEA) and the Directorate-General for Environment of the European Commission.
